Human Care Means Equality for All | Pangea Organics

Human Care Means Equality for All

One week ago today, an unprecedented and unfathomable event occurred in our nation’s history – the overturning of Roe v. Wade. We, like many Americans, are devastated.

From the ACLU website, here are some of the potential consequences of this decision:

"Forcing someone to carry a pregnancy against their will has life-altering consequences, including enduring serious health risks from continued pregnancy and childbirth, making it harder to escape poverty, derailing one’s education, career, and life plans, and making it more difficult to leave an abusive partner. This decision will also lead to miscarriages being subject to suspicion, investigation, and arrest, and patients and doctors being thrown in jail.

These burdens will disproportionately fall on women of color, those struggling to make ends meet, young people, immigrants, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ communities."

We recognize this decision as a violation of our core human rights. Pangea brands have long been committed to the guiding principle of Human Care – it’s why for the last twenty years we have carefully selected partners around the world who are committed to providing access to resources, education, and healthcare to their employees and communities.

While we see this decision as a major setback, we recognize the power of courage and the potential for real change that comes from the ground up. We won’t stop fighting or give up hope, and we support you to do the same. We will be making an internal donation to the following organizations in support of their efforts in providing Human Care to women during this critical moment.

Planned Parenthood
