It’s Finally Here

Around here, it’s been a long wet spring with life-giving rains and cool temps that mean extending sweater weather a little bit. I know other places have been hit with some heat we have not seen, but the solstice in Colorado brings with it an honest change of the seasons and a need to look at life anew. Breaking out the shorts, sunscreen, bathing suits, sun hats, and a different kind of skincare for a different kind of weather.

It is time to make everything a little lighter, cooler, and more streamlined. Change from heavier clothes to the ones that let in the air. Get out the fans. Find the sunhat. Find the blankets to put in the car for eating al fresco. And change from protection from cold to protection from heat.

Here are a few changes we can make to get our skin summer-ready. Enjoy the Solstice and with it a change of the seasons.

1. Switch up your cleanser to our De-stress Foaming Cleanser. It works really well to get off the residue of sunscreen, sweat, and dirt that comes with summer living.

2. Move to a lighter moisturizer that will play well with sunscreen. Try our Balancing Lightweight Prebiotic Moisturizer.

3. This is a family secret, but you should know - the Canadian Pine & White Sage Hand Soap does wonders for getting the dirt off your sandal-wearing summer feet. We keep one bottle in the shower to use because it works so well and feels so good. (We have another in the guest bathroom so no one is using our foot soap on their hands.)

4. Our Body Oil is a great after sun soother. It is lighter than lotion, and feeds sunkissed skin what it needs to feel good.
