A Surprising Ingredient For Enzymatic Exfoliation

- By: Joshua Onysko

When it comes to a Skincare Ritual, we wouldn’t think of skipping our Facial Scrub. If you’ve used it even once, then you can probably relate. But have you ever wondered what makes it so great? The answer might surprise you.

The Surprise Ingredient
Did you know our Facial Scrub has a dual-action exfoliation formula? Organic, ground Adzuki Beans create a soft yet effective mechanical exfoliator that gently polishes your skin while removing excess oil and dirt from pores.

Yet, it’s (wait for it…) a vastly underrated superfood masquerading as a holiday garnish that really puts it over the top. You guessed it — we’re talking about Cranberries.

When used in Skincare, Cranberries release powerful exfoliating enzymes to help remove expired skin and reveal new, fresh skin. Additionally, they have a perfect ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids, which opens the door for skin to rapidly absorb its generous supply of antioxidants and nutrients.

Factor in the addition of Geranium, Frankincense, and Carrot Seed oils, and expect nothing less than smoothing, softening, and noticeable glow.

Exfoliate or Cleanse First?
We recommend beginning your Ritual with our Facial Cleanser.  Think of it as a nutrient-dense primer that will help your skin receive all the nourishment our Facial Scrub has to offer.

Once you’ve washed your face, rub a quarter-sized amount of Facial Scrub between your fingers and apply thoroughly onto your face, neck, and décolleté. Pay extra attention to your nose—it will thank you visibly. Gently rub onto lips for light exfoliation of dry, chapped skin. Remove with a damp cloth. Do this at least every other day for dramatic results in your complexion.

And don’t forget to drink your cranberry juice!
