Ingredients

  • Why did Pangea eliminate some of the scents in their Body Lotion, Body Wash, and Hand Soap?

    Over the years we have evolved our formulas and packaging, and over the past decade, many new organic farmers around the world have made incredible advancements in the creation of new, high-quality essential oils. We are proud to introduce our new scent profiles which are created in partnership with these suppliers to harness the world’s purest, sustainably-sourced essential oils that honor the abundance of nature.

  • Why did the formulas and ingredients change in all new Plastic-free products?

    Going Plastic-free was the perfect opportunity to give our formulations an upgrade. We have carefully added in a range of the most pure, effective, plant-based bioactive ingredients on the planet to deliver glowing, youthful looking skin. You can find a list of them (and why they’re so amazing) on our product pages.

  • Do your new products contain cannabis sativa seed oil?

    While cannabis sativa seed oil contains wonderful anti-inflammatory properties and does not contain THC, we have chosen to switch to equally effective anti-inflammatory bioactive ingredients, such as Curcuma Longa, instead.

  • What do I do if I have an allergic reaction?

    If severe, please consult a physician.

    All ingredients are generally safe for all skin types, yet some people may still have individual allergies to certain plant botanicals. (The same holds true for any cosmetic or food ingredient.) Those with extremely sensitive skin should conduct a patch test prior to use. Pangea offers an open disclosure policy regarding ingredients, so if there is any particular botanical you seek to avoid, you will see it clearly listed in both the Latin and common English names on the ingredient panel or in the Ingredients tab on the each product’s page.

  • Are Pangea products vegan and cruelty-free?

    All Pangea products are cruelty-free, and all except Lip Balm are vegan. Our Lip Balm contains organic beeswax. Our brand is proudly Leaping Bunny certified.

  • Are Pangea products gluten-free?

    All products are gluten-free.

  • Why are your Lip Balm and gallon-sized Hand Soap not sold in plastic-free packaging?

    We are still working on sourcing high-quality Plastic-free solutions for both items. They will be sold in Plastic-free packaging as soon as possible.

  • Do Pangea products contain GMO ingredients?

    Pangea products are made using non-GMO ingredients.

  • Are your products made in the United States?

    Yes, all of our product formulas are made domestically.

  • Are your products certified organic?

    We are committed to using as many sustainably-sourced and organic ingredients possible. Certified organic ingredients are indicated with an asterisk in our ingredient list for each product.

  • Where can I find out more about the ingredients in the products?

    All of our ingredients are listed on each product’s webpage.

  • What is the shelf life of your products?

    All products have a minimum two-year shelf life unopened and 12 months once opened.

  • Why is there an expiration date on the Body Washes?

    Due to a manufacturing error, you may notice a printed date on the bottom of your Body Wash bottle. While an expiration date is not required for this formula, for best results, we recommend using it by September 2024.

  • Why do you use Sodium Benzoate?

    In order to create shelf-stable products whose integrity remains intact from start to finish, all Skin and Bodycare companies must use some form of preservative in their formulations. As you might imagine, certain preservatives are more benevolent than others. After years of research, we have chosen to use Sodium Benzoate as a full spectrum preservative in several of our products. Our Sodium Benzoate is a sustainable, naturally-derived substance containing both the compounds sodium benzoate and gluconic acid. The sodium benzoate component is obtained via the extraction of resinous material from the bark of the Japanese Snowbell tree, which is commonly used in traditional medicine as the starting material. The gluconic acid component is derived via the natural fermentation of fructose, which is made of fruits and vegetables. Our Sodium Benzoate has been tested for safety for topical application and also has been chosen as one of the few approved full spectrum preservatives for use in USDA and NOP organic certified products. Sodium Benzoate also has been given a score of 3 on the Environmental Working Groups page, Skin Deep.   • Are Pangea Products petroleum-free?

    Yes. All products are petroleum-free.

How to Use

  • Are Pangea’s products unisex?

    Our products are suitable for all humans.

  • Can I use the Pangea Body Wash for my hair and hands?

    Yes, our Pangea Body Washes can be used on the body, hair, and hands.

  • Are your products safe for outdoor use when hiking or camping?

    Our Body Wash and Hand Soaps are all safe for outdoor use and biodegradable when used appropriately. Please follow Leave No Trace’s (https://lnt.org/) best practices and never wash your items directly in a stream, river or lake. Instead, collect water in a container and move at least 200 feet away from the body of water. When you are finished with your washing, dig a six-inch hole and dump your wastewater into it.

  • Are Pangea products safe for children and pregnant women?

    All our products are formulated with the intention of being beneficial to all human types, although a patch test may be useful when food or botanical allergies are suspected in any individual. Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs. Avoid contact with eyes. If pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Not for internal use.

  • Why did the names of the products change?

    Along with our new Plastic-free packaging, our formulas have also changed with development utilizing some of the most nature-rich, sustainable, bioactive ingredients on the planet. We chose these names to help customers immediately identify the new products and their benefits.

  • Why did the prices increase now that they are in Plastic-free packaging?

    Our prices are based on the cost of the ingredients that go into our formulations. In addition to our investment in Plastic-free packaging, our products are also formulated with cutting-edge, nature-rich, sustainable, bioactives, in order to provide customers with the highest-quality experience possible.

  • Why did you select blue as the color of your Plastic-free packaging?

    The blue of our bottles represents the oceans, which are integral to the health of the landscapes we rely upon for many of our ingredients. It is our love of these oceans that has compelled us to go Plastic-free, as they (and their inhabitants) are most impacted by the proliferation of single-use plastics. Pangea’s products are made for all human types, and we feel the beautiful blue we have chosen represents this global perspective.

  • Why do you use aluminum bottles?

    We use aluminum because it is the most recycled material on earth. An astounding 84% of the aluminum ever produced is still being used today! Whereas plastic can only be downcycled, aluminum can be recycled an infinite number of times. In fact, recycling a container takes 95% less energy than producing a new one. And, because it’s so lightweight, using aluminum spares millions of pounds of carbon emissions annually in shipping.

  • Do you use a lining in your aluminum bottles?

    The coating on the inside of the bottles is BPA-free. This lining creates a barrier between the aluminum and the product. This is very similar to liquid consumption products in aluminum bottles: soda, beer, etc.

  • Do your aluminum bottles absorb into the skin when handled?

    No. The coating on the outside of the bottles is BPA-free. This coating creates a barrier between the aluminum and the skin.

  • What is the lining in your aluminum tubes?

    The coating on the inside of our new aluminum tubes is epoxy phenolic, a resin-based material that forms a barrier between the contents of the tube and the aluminum. The coating is compliant with FDA and EU regulations and is safe for contact with food, beverage, and pharmaceutical products.

  • Daily care for aluminum bottles and tubes.

    To keep your plastic-free aluminum bottles and tubes at peak performance, wipe the bottle or tube dispenser and cap with a damp cloth after you use the product.  This will remove remaining product residue that can harden between applications.

  • You have many products packaged in glass now. Why is that?

    Aside from being beautiful, glass is sustainable from beginning to end. Made of natural materials (including other recycled glass), it is processed without harmful chemicals and is extremely stable, so there is no concern that it will contaminate its contents or the environment. Like aluminum, glass is infinitely, 100% recyclable.

  • Why do you use plastic in your pumps and atomizers?

    Unfortunately, plastic-free pumps and atomizers are not available for us to purchase at this time. We strongly encourage their reuse and only use them when it is the best option for dispensing a particular product.

  • Why do you sell the pumps and atomizers separately?

    Customers who have already purchased pumps will not need to keep buying them each time they re-purchase a product that requires a pump. By selling our pumps separately, we are reducing the needless proliferation of single-use plastics.

  • Why do you still have your Lip Balm and Hand Soap - Canadian Pine & White Sage Gallon Refill in plastic?

    We are working on sourcing quality plastic-free packaging for both items.

  • Why did Pangea create two sizes in many products?

    Some of our sizes are designed for travel and some are for home. We intend our glass containers to be beautiful additions to your bathroom and suggest purchasing products in aluminum packaging as refills for your glass containers.

  • Is there a way to refill the bottle, or do you have to get a new bottle every time?

    Due to current availability, the 16.9 fl oz / 500 mL aluminum bottle is the largest, completely plastic-free packaging we can find at this time. As soon as it’s available, we'll make larger sizes available to be used to refill existing aluminum and glass packaging. In meantime, please note that aluminum is infinitely recyclable, and it takes 95% less energy to recycle a used aluminum bottle into a new aluminum bottle than it does to produce primary aluminum.

  • You claim 98% plastic free - What is the 2% going to be?

    The 2% of our packaging that will still be plastic are: the Lip Balms, Hand Soap - Canadian Pine & White Sage Gallon Refill, and Reusable Dispenser Pump and Atomizers. We are searching for a plastic-free solution and will continue to search for the first manufacturer of a plastic-free dispenser pump. In the meantime, we encourage you to please save and reuse any pumps you purchase.

  • Where are your aluminum bottles made?

    Our aluminum bottles are currently sourced from Europe, while we are working to increase supply chain manufacturing domestically in the U.S in the near future.

  • Does Pangea have a refill program?

    Not currently. Please recycle your aluminum and glass bottles and reuse the Dispenser Pumps and Atomizers.

  • Does Pangea have a Customer Rewards program?

    Pangea is not offering a loyalty program at this time.

    Pangea is owned by its Founder/CEO, Joshua Scott Onysko.

  • What payment methods can I use?

    We accept payment via Mastercard, Visa, American Express, After Pay, Apple Pay among others.

  • My credit card was charged more than once, how do I get a credit?

    Each time your credit card is charged successfully, you will automatically receive a billing receipt via email. If you have received more than one charge on the same item(s), please contact support@pangeaorganics.com or call toll free at (877) 679-5854 and we will work with you to resolve the issue and return funds to you promptly. Please include your order number in any email or have it available if you contact us by phone.

Shipping

  • How much do I have to spend to get Free Shipping?

    Shipping is free for U.S. orders of $50 or more.

    Orders less than $50 will be presented with other shipping options, and their prices. The prices that are shown are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of the items in the cart.

  • Does Pangea ship internationally?

    International orders are not accepted at this time. We are working toward shipping to other countries in the future.

  • I've received an address verification error, what do I do?

  • Why isn't my US credit card being accepted?

    The first thing to check is that the Billing Address you entered into the check out form matches the Mailing Address on your credit card statement. If it doesn't match exactly, then your order cannot be processed. Second, please be sure your credit card has credit available. If you are still having difficulty ordering, please contact support@pangeaorganics.com or call toll free at (877) 679-5854 and a representative will assist you further during regular business hours Monday – Friday. Your call will be returned as soon as possible if left after hours or on weekends and holidays.

Discounts

What are the restrictions on discount codes, coupons, and promotions?

Qualifying amount is the subtotal of the purchase after the discount and does not include taxes or shipping fees. Promotions and discounts cannot be applied to shipping charges, gift cards, or combined with any other coupons or discounts, and also cannot be used on orders that include any items on subscription. Offers are subject to change; we reserve the right to cancel any order due to unauthorized, altered, or ineligible use of the offer and to modify or cancel this promotion due to system error or unforeseen problems.

Are there any restrictions on gift with purchase promotions?
